Lana Trent

Lana Trent
Having a heart to make a difference, Lana likes to find new ways to share her gifts to effectively connect people to God.   She wants to respond when people ask for prayer– and in a way that glorifies Him.  Conversation Starters with God is a result of Lana’s process to find solutions to her own personal prayer barriers.

Lana is committed to serving and encouraging other people through one-on-one prayer as well.  She had the pleasure to be the hands and feet of Jesus to hurting people as a member of the Elders Prayer team at Willow Creek Community Church in Chicago.  She teaches on the topic of prayer at retreats and leadership meetings. Teaching is an area of ministry that she is excited to see expand.

Serving as a leader in singles’, women’s and the church’s prayer ministry gave Lana an opportunity to use her leadership, teaching and strategic gifts as well to co-author the book ”Single and Content”, published by Thomas Nelson Publishing.  One ministry experience that had a tremendous impact on Lana was a trip to Mozambique where she ministered to the local widows and orphans.

Professionally, Lana has a diverse background in ministry and the marketplace.  She worked in banking, the Christian music industry and a church.  For the last eleven years, Lana has been assisting nonprofit organizations as a computer consultant. She analyzes her clients’ information needs and develops strategies to distribute their message to end users through web sites and databases.

For fun, Lana creates digital movies, loves to travel, enjoys canoeing, watches movies and spends time with friends and family.
